Salus University is seeking qualified applicants for a Full Time Office Manager for the Department of Speech-Language Pathology/ Speech-Language Institute. The program resides in the College of Health Sciences, Education and Rehabilitation (CHER) that also includes programs in occupational therapy, physician assistant, blindness and low vision, post-baccalaureate, biomedicine, and orthotics and prosthetics.

This individual will be reporting to the Director of Clinical Education, Department of Speech-Language Pathology. In this role, your primary function will include coordinating the Speech-Language Pathology Program's clinical experiences, labs and community events including the Speech-Language Institute (SLI) and first-year internship sites. In addition, you will coordinate clinical experiences for the Speech-Language Program's Post Baccalaureate program and the university International programs.

What You Will Bring to Salus:

As the Office Manager, you will work with the Director of Clinical Education and other clinical educators to identify opportunities to improve client care, the client experience, and the operation of the clinic. You will also assist in development and revisions of clinical policies and procedures as well as supervise both SLI Patient Service Representative and work student students/volunteers. In addition, you will manage the order and purchasing for the clinic to support the clinical operations as well as create and identify internal and external marketing plans in coordination with the communications department.

In the Speech-Language Institute, you will hire, train, supervisor and schedule clinic support staff as well as provide guidance and oversight to the clinic support staff, ensuring work is executed in a timely and accurate manner. This also includes arranging and communicating coverage in instances of clinical educators absences. You will train new and existing faculty, staff and students on the procedures of the electronic health record and other SLI technology such as the video recording system. In this role, you will be responsible to track and report all clinical metrics/key performance indicators and quality assurance data (e.g., cancellation and "no show" data) to the Director of Clinical Education.

For the Speech-Language Program, you will be responsible to research and identify neighborhoods and facilities that may benefit from services as well as identify opportunities for fairs in local schools and facilities to find opportunities for education sessions for parents, screenings, etc. In this role, the individual will enhancing technology for student experience and improving efficiencies as well as assist in website development and monitor and manage the SLP specific social media page. This role will include conducting surveys of clinical faculty and staff, students and clients associated with the function and outcomes of SLI and internship sites as well as participate in monthly department meetings to stay informed of program/clinical updates. Finally, you will manage end-of-semester assignments and meetings to ensure completion of documentation and grading as well as other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' supervisory experience in a health system, medical office or similar
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience with electronic health records

Skills and Other Requirements:

  • Proficiency in technology and computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Access)
  • Excellent communication, customer service and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and solve problems
  • Ability to perform several tasks concurrently, time management and organizational skills
  • Comfortable working with people with impaired communication skills and other disabilities
  • Available to work evenings and Saturdays on occasion, as needed

Salary Range: $58,000-$68,000 based on experience
